Country Music Television releases the list of nominees for their 2007 video award show.

CMT has had a lot of awards show in its day. Remember the CMT/Music City News Country Awards? Or how about the Flameworthy Awards?

The flagship network for country music has taken the simplistic approach to their awards how in the last couple of years, and this year are continue with "TheCMT Music Awards".

As expected, this year's nominees list is full of stars, and if they all are in attendance for the award show, it could make for a big rating night for CMT.

Carrie Underwood, the Dixie Chicks, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland scored a lead with three nominations each for the April 16th awards show.

CMT goes back to its "Sure Thing" and tabs comedian Jeff Foxworthy to host the show for the 3rd straight year.
